You will need to have the following available for most current loans:
- Copy of driver’s license
- Copies of past 2 year’s W-2’s
- Copies of the last 2 years federal tax returns (AND state returns is applicable)
- Copies of the most recent 30 day pay period
- Copies of ALL bank statements and ALL investment accounts including 401K’s, IRA, etc. for the most recent 2 months
- Homeowners Insurance information
You might have to have the following available for some types of loans or situation, if applicable:
- Copy of social security card or other identity card proving residence
- Copy of DD214/Original Certificate of Eligibility
- Copy of the complete divorce decree showing any alimony or child support payments
- Copies of cancelled checks for the past 3 months on child support or alimony payments
- Copies of the last 2 years corporate tax returns
Note: Also be prepared to provide the underwriters with additional information, if required, to verify gifts, second mortgages or anything else that may be needed to get your loan approved and you into your new home!
