East Nashville

eastend

East Nashville is the place to live for people who want to be close to downtown and still live in an old style neighborhood with many architectural styles from the late 1800’s to 2007.  The neighborhoods range from historic quaint to 1950 era ranch homes with pockets of cute, modern condo dwellings within walking distance of some of the best coffee houses, pubs and restaurants in town.

Another benefit of living in East Nashville is the ease of getting anywhere in town.  Most of the time you are going against traffic and this is a definite gas saver!   The city has made a concerted effort to  upgrade the infrastructure and have put in new sidewalks and bike paths that point to two of the nicest greenways around; Shelby Bottoms and East Bank.

When it comes to food, you can find anything you want from 5 star restaurants to hot dogs and, if you choose, you can get there with a quick walk or a bike ride.   This leads to a very friendly, family oriented atmosphere in the East Nashville neighborhoods that everyone can enjoy.idreamofweenie

You can still find some great properties at very competitive prices.  This includes the condo market.  If you would like to live close to downtown without the parking hassles that living in the downtown district bring, this is a great alternative.  There are 3 historic districts, the trendy Shelby Park area, North into Inglewood and the many unique neighborhoods in between.  Some homes have been renovated or updated and some are still waiting on you to give them a facelift if you’re looking for a handyman special.pinkhouse

If you work downtown and want to live in an old style fun and fabulous neighborhood, East Nashville just might be the place for you.  It is a trendy and fashionably chic location with all the amenities right around the corner.  Some of those include:

  • public and private schools
  • an array of day cares
  • churches of all denominations
  • a dog park
  • Shelby Park
  • Shelby golf course
  • 2 greenways

A neighborhood you can truly enjoy!
